Margay and Daughter With the blood of poets Robert, Amy and James Russell Lowell in my family tree, I could not avoid my fate as a writer. Before I knew what it meant, I had, and still have, a deep and unconditional love for the written word that challenges me in my time of need, abandons me during stressful times and rediscovers me when I have hope. Writing helped me cope with the challenges of single parenting, the harsh realities of living in a shelter, being diagnosed with MS, and raising a child suffering with the one-two-punch of bipolar disorder and Asperger’s Syndrome. I currently live in Massachusetts with my two daughters, two cats, and a myriad of characters vying for my attention, demanding I tell their stories.
